Are you experiencing aching sensations and pain in your muscles and joints? Does your body feel tight and contracted even when you are trying to relax? Do you feel sensitive to the touch with bumpy and tender skin? These are all symptoms of myofascial trigger points that may be the result of poor posture and/or repetitive movements that are leading to muscle dysfunction in your body.
Foam rolling is a full body self-massaging technique that eases muscle tension and is an effective way to correct and recover this dysfunction. It has many other benefits including decreasing blood pressure and increasing oxygen flow to your muscles.
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Roll safely and effectively
- Perform deep stretches utilizing the roller
- Improve joint range-of-motion and restore optimal movement patterns
